Who we are
Networking Gold Coast ("we", "us", "the group") is a business referral group based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We collect personal information you provide to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, business or industry, and any message you send through our contact, visit-enquiry or membership-application forms. For members, we also hold the business details you choose to publish (company, categories, website and links) and records of referrals and payments related to your membership.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange a visit, assess a membership application, run the group and its member portal, and keep members informed. We do not sell your personal information. Member business details that you provide for your public listing are displayed on our website by your choice.
Disclosure
We may share information with the group's committee and with service providers who help us operate the website and send email (for example our hosting and email providers), who are bound to protect it. We do not disclose your information for other purposes without your consent, unless required or authorised by law.
Storage and security
Information is stored with reputable providers and protected by access controls. Our member and enquiry data is hosted in Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and to destroy or de-identify it when it is no longer needed.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing us at hello@networkinggoldcoast.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
